Jess Frost M.S., CCC-SLP, Literacy Specialist, Orton-Gillingham Associate
Jess is the creator and founder of TLC and a licensed speech-language pathologist and literacy specialist. She received her Bachelor's degree from Emerson College and her Master's degree from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions (MGH-IHP) where she also received the Massachusetts Certificate of Advanced Study in Literacy. Jess is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Speech-Language Pathology at the IHP with a focus on language-based learning disabilities.
Jess has several years of experience working with children in both school and research settings. Through her work as a researcher at MGH-IHP, Jess gained advanced knowledge of the identification and treatment of language-based learning disabilities including dyslexia, developmental language disorder, executive functioning, and written language disorder. As the Lead Literacy Specialist and Co-Teacher for the sub-separate language-based learning disabilities classroom in her public school district in Massachusetts, Jess honed her skills and continued to deepen her knowledge to best serve her students and fellow educators and their individualized needs. Specifically, Jess created and taught district-wide professional development sessions, coached teachers on evidence-based practices, and developed and disseminated materials for classroom use. She also evaluated, developed goals, provided intervention, and supported student transitions for students with a wide range of disabilities and educational skill sets. Jess has a passion for providing individualized services tailored to each child's needs based on evidence-based practice to reach the best outcomes.
